Dale De Penning

Director / Managing Director

Dale joined Aspec Construction in 1995 and has over 30 years of experience in the construction industry – both commercial and contractual. He has been involved in many major and significant projects during this time. Dale’s experience comes from a career of site management, project management and construction management. He has experience in all types of construction projects and all types of contracts.

Steve Morris

Director / Commercial Manager

Steve joined Aspec Construction in 2001. With over 30 years of quantity surveying and estimating experience in the construction industry he oversees the commercial management, estimating and quantity surveying teams providing leadership, mentoring and support to all areas of the business. Steve is an Associate Member of the New Zealand Institute of Quantity Surveyors.

Ian Doyle

Director / Construction Manager

Ian has extensive management experience with over 35 years in the construction industry. He joined Aspec Construction in 2009 as a Senior Project Manager before becoming the Construction Manager. Ian’s motivational approach and strong drive for Quality and Health and Safety ensures every project meets the company expectations of delivering quality, on time and to budget.  Ian oversees the project management and site management teams providing leadership and mentoring and support to all areas of the business.
Ian has a Diploma in Business from Auckland University.

Adam Tyrie

Interiors Manager

Adam joined Aspec in 2021 after a 16 year relationship with the business as one of our clients. He has 30 years’ experience in the construction and development industry having held roles in both construction and client side. Adam prefers a collaborative approach to solutions and enjoys working with both his team and clients to problem solve. Adam holds a Civil Engineering Honours degree and is a Chartered Civil Engineer, being a Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers.

Darren Rix

Maintenance Operations Manager

Darren has over 20 years experience in the construction industry. He joined Aspec Construction in 2005 as a Quantity Surveyor before becoming the manager of Aspec Maintenance Property Services. Darren has extensive knowledge in all construction elements. He is very proactive in all aspects of his role, ensuring minimal disruptive impact to the client and exceeding their expectations with our service.
